About the award
The News on the Block Property Management Awards celebrate excellence in residential leasehold property management. The Major Works Project of the Year category is open to companies delivering major works to apartment buildings. Judges score each entry on what makes the project stand out and how the team overcame obstacles during delivery.
While we look forward to attending the award ceremony in London this November, we’re taking a moment to look back on what has made Grand Ocean such a rewarding project.
The Grand Ocean remediation project
Grand Ocean is an estate comprising of four separate residential blocks. That means planning and sequencing the remediation works carefully across each building on the site.
Residents have stayed in their homes throughout the project. This has meant keeping disruption to a minimum, and communicating clearly with everyone on site is a priority for our team. Working closely with our project partner, Archway Façade Management, we planned ahead and started works on site three months ahead of programme. For leaseholders living in an unremediated building, an earlier start makes a real difference.
A strong autumn for the DALA team
This is the second awards shortlisting for The DALA Group in recent weeks. Davinia Potterton, our Technical Lead at DALA Surveys, is also a finalist for the Excellence Award (Fire Consultant) at the Women in Fire Safety Awards, which take place on 15 October.
Having launched at the start of 2026, we’re proud to be recognised alongside some of the most established names in the sector within our first year. It’s a real credit to the quality of our work and to the people behind it.
